HUDHUD CYCLONE RELIEF






Recent Hudhud Cyclone left a trail of destruction with its heavy winds and rains in Andhra Pradesh, Orissa and especially Vishakapatnam region. Initial estimates indicated that about 24 people have died, 7000 houses were damaged and thousands of acres of crops like paddy, maize, vegetables, banana, coconut and betel were damaged. According to government sources, about 5 lakh people are taking shelter in relief camps.

It also impacted about 109 train lines, 5800 electric poles and transformers, several roads, 19 tanks and canals were breached, 395 public properties were lost, 1798 animals died, 73 drinking water sources damaged and 181 boats were missing or damaged.

During these times of need, people affected by cyclone need helping hand and we being far-away, could contribute for relief by donating to Chief Minister's Relief Fund.
